** Total .US domain registrations jumped
7.6% year over year in 2022, more than 3 points higher
than the 4.5% rate for the overall ccTLD market according to
Verisign's most recent Domain
Name Industry Brief from December
2022.
*July 1, 2022 marked one year since we
started tracking .US registrations. In that year .US
added 153,449 domains, a growth rate of 9.1%
year over year. According to the most recent available data
for other TLDs in the June 2022 Verisign Domain Name
Industry Brief, the .US number is far higher
than the annual growth rate for both .com (4.3%) and
all TLDs combined (3.9%).
Starting with July 1, 2022, we will
have the previous year's total for the same month, allowing
us to show the Year Over Year percentage gain or loss in
the new column at far right.
